the château was awarded the "Maison des Illustres" (homes of illustrious persons) label.

 

 

Partially built in the 17th century by Louis-Jules du Châtelet over the remains of a former medieval fortress, the château was enlarged in the 18th century by Voltaire during his sojourn from 1734 to 1749. It was finally completed in the 19th century.

 

 

The owners are pleased to open the doors of their home to visitors and to share with them this place so full of history.
